IOWA-NEBRASKA CHAPTER HOLDS ITS
ANNUAL MEETING
GEORGIA, CAROLINAS, FLORIDA, MEMPHIS AND MIDDLE & EAST TENNESSEE CHAPTERS
HOST SOUTHEASTERN REGIONAL CONFERENCE
The Southeastern Region came together in August at the Renaissance Nashville Downtown in Nashville, TN, not only for a
good time with fellow regional members, but for a variety of speakers, discussions and networking opportunities. More than 275
members, guests, and sponsors attended the two-day event. Below are some of the highlights of the 2013 Southeastern Regional
Conference.
DAY 1: Rod Santomassimo opened the session with his inspiring "Brokers Who Dominate" speaker series. To keep the momentum
going, Bob Chapman delivered a great series about "Truly Human Leadership.” Following the speakers, the educational round
tables kept everyone in the know. To conclude the day, attendees were invited to get a true taste of Nashville. Billy Dean,
accompanied by Dan Wilkinson, SIOR, on the banjo, put on an excellent performance at the local honky tonk, Third and Lindsley.
DAY 2: Guest speaker Chris Hogan started the second day of the conference with his program "EntreLeadership.” To follow, all
SIORs were able to participate in the Platinum Sponsor Roundtable sessions with a drawing of great prizes. Chapter members
then gathered for their Chapter Membership meetings.
In September, the SIOR Iowa-Nebraska Chapter invited
Celeste Tanner, of OPUS’s Denver office, and Dr. Art Cox,
Chair of the University of Northern Iowa’s Real Estate
Department, to talk to members at their annual meeting,
held at Champions Run in Omaha, NE. Immediately
following the meeting members participated in a
golf outing.
