CHAPTER AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS
In April, the SIOR Middle and East Tennessee Chapter awarded
scholarships to students at Middle Tennessee State University
(MTSU). The scholarships were presented to Matthew Sargent,
MTSU; Marcela Arredondo, MTSU; Brittany Watson, MTSU;
and Keysha Honey, MTSU.
Chapter President, Bryan Rudisill, SIOR, and Buck Forcum,
SIOR, attended two classes given by Phillip Seagraves, an
Associate Member and professor at the Business School at
MTSU. They met with students to share their experiences
and life lessons, and closed by presenting the scholarships to

NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER HOSTS
ANNUAL LANDLORD BREAKFAST
The SIOR New England Chapter hosted its annual Landlord
Breakfast at 400 Fifth Avenue in Waltham, Mass. The April
event began with breakfast and networking and featured
speakers: Bob Duffy and Stephen Duffy from Duff Properties,
the featured company.

NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER BREAKFAST
SERIES FEATURES MIT PROFESSOR
In March, the SIOR New England Chapter hosted an event
in their Breakfast Series. Forty members and guests attended
at the Newton Marriott in Boston, Mass., for breakfast,
networking, and a presentation from Steve Weikal, a professor
of real estate at MIT.
NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER HOSTS JOINT
SIOR/NAIOP MIDYEAR ROUND UP
In June, the SIOR New England Chapter hosted a joint
event with NAIOP at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel
in Boston, Mass. One-hundred attendees convened for the
event, featuring an economic overview and the impact on
the local market by Hans Norsby, the managing director of
CoStar Portfolio Strategy. This was followed by a panel of
leading market experts from greater Boston, who presented
an overview and analysis of office, retail, and capital markets.
