SIOR Southern Nevada Chapter
Shoots the Breeze with Platinum
and Gold Sponsors
In March, the SIOR Southern Nevada Chapter held
its spring social event at the Clark County Shooting
Complex in Las Vegas. The chapter opened the event
to all members and its top sponsors. To make things
exciting, the 17 attendees engaged in friendly competi-
tion, splitting into member-sponsor pairs in a sporting
clay shooting course. Once all scores were tallied, two
members took first and third place while a platinum
sponsor representative took second. Congratulations
to Ben Millis, SIOR; Mike McCoy of Harsch Investment
Properties, and Dan Palmeri, SIOR. Rob Lujan, SIOR; Mike Hillis, SIOR; John Ramous; Jason Simon, SIOR; Ryan
Martin, SIOR, and Dan Palmeri, SIOR.
SIOR St. Louis Chapter Presents Scholarship Winners
The SIOR St. Louis Chapter introduced
the 2016-2017 St. Louis University (SLU)
John Cook School of Business scholarship recipients in February during
a members’ meeting and luncheon.
Seniors Austin Peterson, Keely Resing,
and Kevin Toner had the opportunity to
network with members of the chapter.
Each student received an $8,000 scholarship from SIOR for this academic year.
This is the third year for the scholar-
ship, which is awarded to SLU business
students interested in commercial real
estate. The scholarship is the result of a
partnership between the SIOR St. Louis
Chapter, the SIOR Foundation, and SLU,
through its Go Further matching pro-
gram. The chapter contributed $6,000,
matched by the SIOR Foundation for a
total contribution of $12,000, which in
turn was matched by SLU for a total
scholarship fund of $24,000.
The SLU Go Further match was instrumental in the decision by SIOR to
support undergraduate scholarships, as
it doubles their gift and enables them to
provide greater support to recipients.
