The assignment began with BigBand Networks, based in Redwood City, CA, and their representative, R. W. Holmes Realty, interviewing
firms in Israel for BigBand’s 65,000 square feet office requirement. The client required first class office space within a 7 mile radius of
Tel Aviv with an abundance of covered parking and a mission critical lab component.
Closing the Transaction:
BigBand Networks wanted to interview three firms, and R. W. Holmes Realty always prefers to include an SIOR firm. After interviewing
three firms, Stanley Finkelstein, SIOR, Stanley Finkelstein Ltd. won the assignment.
After R.W. Holmes Realty and Stanley Finkelstein toured the market with representatives from BigBand Networks, they eventually
closed in on two final locations. Unfortunately, the requirement was placed on hold as BigBand Networks was being acquired by
ARRIS Group, Inc.
Fortunately, after going through the interview process again, Stanley Finkelstein Ltd was awarded the assignment and a lease was
finalized by ARRIS for 65,800 square feet of first class office space at 28 Ha Barzel Street, Tel Aviv, Israel. The value of the transaction
was $25,613,410 (U.S.).
