Celebrating 50 Years of Service
Dear SIOR Members and Friends,
The SIOR Foundation successfully completed our best
Phonathon since 2007 in Chicago on December 3, 2012. We
received pledges of $206,170.00, which is truly an outstanding
achievement. On behalf of the Foundation, a special thanks to all
who supported this event. As a point of clarification, the fiscal year
for the SIOR Foundation starts on September 1 and ends on August
31. Therefore, our annual Phonathon is the first major fundraiser of
each fiscal year and typically sets the bar as to what we can expect
as it relates to participation throughout the balance of the year. In
summary, we definitely raised the bar!
SIOR Foundation Legacy Society
Naming the SIOR Foundation in your estate plans help build future
dreams. This is a wonderful way to give back to the organization
that has meant so much to you, to your career and to your family.
I am pleased to report that over the past few years your
Foundation, leadership, and staff have taken the appropriate steps to
reduce expenses in order to strengthen our position for the future.
We have accomplished this by reducing staff, streamlining internal
procedures and re-evaluating who and how we outsource services to.
Additionally, last year we made a decision to separate our treasurer
position from the normal “chain of chairs” and fill the position with a
qualified financial expert. As a result, we are privileged to have Stan
Kleweno as treasurer and an integral part of our executive committee.
The SIOR Foundation is 100 percent funded by your contributions. We sincerely appreciate your ongoing support which allows us
to carry out our mission. We truly welcome all of your involvement,
whether it is simply as a volunteer, donor or both. If you are in search
of a truly gratifying and rewarding experience, seriously consider
becoming a trustee. Please contact me if you have any questions or
would like to become more involved at 216.525.1464 or firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information about the SIOR Foundation,
please visit our website at www.siorfoundation.org or contact Corrine
Nowak, Foundation Manager at 202-449-8208 or email@example.com.
I thank you in advance for your continued support.
Very truly yours,
The 1% Solution

where member to members involved agree to make a donation to
the SIOR Foundation of 1% of the total commission earned.
