Chicago Chapter Awards Scholarship
The SIOR Chicago Chapter, in conjunction with the Cynthia L.
Bischof Memorial Foundation, has awarded its annual scholarship
to a student from DePaul University. Christina Brown, a graduate student, was the recipient of the $3,000 scholarship that was
established at the end of 2008 to honor the memory of Cynthia L.
Bischof, SIOR.

In December, the SIOR Chicago Chapter and the SIOR Foundation
recently awarded four $3,000 scholarships for the 2011-2012
academic year. Recipients included: Toby Veit, Kellogg School
of Management at Northwest University; Connor Matthews,
University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign; Derek Fohl, Kellstadt
Graduate School of Business at DePaul University; and Tim Stroh,
Roosevelt University.

The SIOR Connecticut Chapter and the SIOR Foundation awarded
$7,800 in scholarships to University of Connecticut students in the
fall of 2011. The SIOR Connecticut Chapter has two scholarship
funds, The Samuel Pierson Scholarship is in honor of Samuel F.
Pierson, a long-time member and past SIOR president, and The
Carl Traub Scholarship is in memory of Carl F. Traub, a long-time
member. The recipients of the scholarships were William Gakidis, a
Finance major with a concentration in Real Estate; Seth Rosenberg,
a Real Estate and Urban Economics major with minors in Art
History and Management Information Systems; Alyssa Coughlin,
a senior majoring in Finance/ Real Estate and Urban Economics;
and Michael Hovey, a Real Estate and Urban Economics major.
Northern California Chapter and SIOR Foundation
Presents Scholarships
Three $2,000 scholarships were awarded by the Northern California
Chapter and SIOR Foundation at their Holiday Luncheon awards
went to Austin Levine, California Polytechnic State University;
Kent Sakamoto, California State University and Gretchen
Heckman, UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
